A SURVEY ON THE CURRENT SITUATION OF INTERNSHIP SATISFACTION AMONG NURSING STUDENTS IN HIGHER VOCATIONAL COLLEGES
Abstract
Professional internships represent the most comprehensive practical training component in nursing education. The satisfaction levels of nursing interns significantly influence thequality of internship outcomes. This study employed a self-designed satisfaction evaluation scale to survey nursing interns from Western Yunnan University of Applied Sciences. Results indicate that overall internship satisfaction remains consistently high, with urban interns reporting superior satisfaction compared to their rural counterparts. Furthermore, interns who self-selected their healthcare institutions demonstrated higher satisfaction than those assigned through centralized institutional arrangements. Intern satisfaction levels substantially impact the quality of professional training outcomes.
