DEVELOPMENT OF AN AI-BASED CHATBOT LEARNING MEDIA ON INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SECURITY: IMPACT ON GRADE 7 STUDENTS’ LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develop an educational chatbot on information technology security for Grade 7 students. The chatbot was designed to operate via the LINE application and features automated interactive responses that enable learners to study the content, select lessons, and complete assessments independently. The instructional content is organized into three modules: (1) Safe use of information technology, (2) Information system security, and (3) Ethics in the use of information technology. The quality assessment conducted by three experts indicated that the developed instructional media demonstrated appropriate content alignment and acceptable accuracy of the assessment items. In addition, the efficiency of the media, evaluated using the E1/E2 criteria, was found to be 81.16/81.98, exceeding the established threshold of 80/80. These results confirm that the developed chatbot-based learning media is sufficiently effective and suitable for implementation in instructional activities.
