THE IMPACT OF EMPLOYEES STRESS, EMPLOYERS ATTITUDE, AND ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE, FACTORS TOWARDS ORGANIZATIONAL TRUST IN THE ACCOMODATION AND CATERING INDUSTRIES IN NANNING
Abstract
This research aims to understand the factors influencing employees' organizational trust, who worked in the accommodation and catering industries, to their companies in Nanning. The three independent variables of this study to understand the dependent variable of organizational trust are the employees’ stress, employer’s attitude, and organizational structure. Sub-variables to test for employees’ stress included work motivation, employee’s relationship and job characteristics. The sub-variables for employers’ attitude consisted of the leadership styles, supervision and personality traits. The sub-variables for organizational structure included working atmosphere, corporate culture and perceived organizational support. Quantitative research was adopted to collect data from the 400 respondents who were residing in Nanning, and snowball sampling method was used to collect the survey from social media contacts using WeChat forms for this study. The questionnaire comprises multiple choices for demographic data and a five-point Likert scale for independent and dependent variables. The statistical software used for analyzing data includes descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of the study showed that all the hypotheses proposed were supported. The results revealed that there is a significant effect between the independent variables (employees’ stress, employers’ attitude, and organizational structure) and the dependent variable (organizational trust).
