THE UTILIZATION OF GOOGLE SHEETS TO DEVELOP A PERFORMANCE INDICATOR MONITORING SYSTEM IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPERATIONAL PLAN OF THE FACULTY OF LAW AT SUAN SUNANDHA RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract


This research aimed to develop a performance indicator monitoring system to bridge the gap between strategic planning and operational execution within the Faculty of Law at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. The primary objectives were to construct the system using Google Sheets and subsequently evaluate its effectiveness in terms of data accuracy, user convenience, and analytical capabilities. The study's population comprised 14 personnel from the Faculty of Law, including both academic and support staff. Data were collected via a structured questionnaire designed to assess current monitoring practices and identify specific system requirements, then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results revealed a critical finding: 100% of the surveyed units lacked a formal system for monitoring performance metrics, highlighting a significant operational deficiency. The foremost requirement identified by respondents was a user-friendly system (92.9%), followed by the ability to integrate with Google Sheets (7.1%). An overwhelming majority (92.9%) also preferred to receive performance reports on a monthly basis. These findings underscore the urgent need for a user-friendly, accessible monitoring system that addresses personnel requirements. Google Sheets is identified as a principal instrument for effective data management and reporting due to its inherent accessibility and collaborative features. This aligns with findings from Phakphum Matathong (2021) and Pinklom Sompeervong and Saritchai Preedawan (2024), who affirm its capacity to enhance convenience and streamline workflows. This study concludes that a Google Sheets-based system can significantly enhance the faculty's operational efficiency by automating the preferred monthly reporting processes and providing real-time data visibility. Adoption of this system is recommended to improve accountability and support continuous improvement within the faculty.
