Abstract
The research object of this paper is the primary school of a city (Jinan, Shandong province), and how can we optimize the education administration to promote students’ sense of happiness and psychological health. Jinan primary schools benefit from the policy guidance of Shandong’s whole-environmental collaborative education, as well as local practical innovations such as integrating mental health activities with intangible cultural heritage and establishing home-school co-education mechanism. This has laid a preliminary foundation for Mental Health Education (MHE) at primary schools. However, they usually face fundamental problems: formalized and fragmented Mental Health Education activities, inadequate practical guidance capabilities among teachers, disjointed home-school-community collaboration, and unscientific evaluation systems.Based on the Social and Emotional Learning and local Hospital-School-Home-Community mode of Shandong province, this paper put forward some suggestions such as incorporating the Social and Emotional Learning into distinctive course, enhancing the professional growth of teachers through provincial and city experts, establishing a family collaborative system in multiple dimensions, schools, communities, and businesses, and the optimization of the assessment system according to Shandong's educational standards. The above methods are consistent with Jinan's educational development background, and the cooperative education model of Shandong.aiming to refine Mental Health Education management in Jinan's primary schools and provide a replicable model for primary educational institutions in similar regions of China.
