TIKTOK: THE CULTURE OF NEW MEDIA AND ITS IMPACT ON PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND THE CREATION OF QUALITY WORK

Abstract


The objective of this research is to study the origins and significance of the TikTok application, examining various details within the TikTok app, assessing criteria for creating clips, appropriate playback behaviors, and encouraging TikTok users to create high-quality, creative, and useful clips for viewers. The study population is located in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region and its surrounding areas, with a sample group of individuals aged 18 and above from all professions who use the TikTok app. The sample group consists of 30 TikTok enthusiasts selected to provide feedback through surveys and interviews. The research findings reveal a good understanding of the background of TikTok, including data on different demographics such as gender, age, education, and income influencing perception. Importantly, it is noted that TikTok users have different objectives in using the app, indicating that each user is motivated differently due to diverse demographic characteristics.
