THE DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN GRAPHIC DESIGN USING CANVA THROUGH BLENDED LEARNING FOR GRADE 9 STUDENTS
Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of graphic design instruction using Canva integrated with a blended learning approach for Grade 9 students. The participants were 20 Grade 9 students enrolled in the English Program at the Demonstration School of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University during the second semester of the 2024 academic year. A one-group pretest–posttest quasi-experimental design was employed using purposive sampling. The research instrument was a learning achievement test covering three instructional units: basic Canva operation, image editing tools, and graphic design creation. Data were analyzed using a paired-sample t-test. The results indicated that students’ posttest scores were significantly higher than their pretest scores at the .05 level. The findings demonstrate that integrating Canva with blended learning can effectively enhance students’ graphic design learning achievement by promoting active participation, creativity, and practical skill development. This instructional approach supports learner-centered education and aligns with the development of 21st century digital competencies in lower secondary education.
