Abstract

This study investigates the influence of leadership style and employee motivation on organizational performance in the context of New Hope Dairy, a leading dairy enterprise in Sichuan Province, China. Guided by quantitative methodology, this study surveyed 408 employees across different demographic backgrounds and departments. Regression analysis revealed a significant positive impact of both leadership style and employee motivation on organizational performance. However, demographic differences such as gender, education, and age did not significantly affect performance outcomes. The findings highlight the importance of combining transformational and transactional leadership elements as well as implementing balanced motivational strategies that integrate internal and external incentives. This study contributes to the limited body of research on leadership and motivation within China's dairy industry and provides practical recommendations for organizational development. Future research directions are also proposed, including expanding sample scope, integrating qualitative methodologies, and introducing additional variables such as corporate culture and external market environment.
