Abstract


The objectives of this research were 1) to determine the relationship of the strategies to drive the sufficiency economy and the principles of education management towards excellence 2) to analyze the elements of the strategies to drive the sufficiency economy towards excellence in educational institutes 3) to present the strategies to drive the sufficiency economy towards excellence in educational institutes.The researcher divided the research method into 2 phases as follows:

          Phase one involved the preparation of the research from documentary studies, reference books, research, and human resource practitioners from different institutes in order to set the research framework.

          Phase two involved the research conducting process, collecting the data from in-depth interviews and questionnaires, and analyzing and interpreting the acquired data by utilizing computer programs, IncludeFrequency PercentageMean Standard Deviationand Correlation Analysis.

           The research result:

           1) The relationship of the strategies to drive the sufficiency economy towards excellence in educational institutes was at the significant level of .01. The 65 items of strategies cover the main components of the 4 aspects, namely 1) 15 item of the 3 rings of the middle path 2) 10 items of the 2 conditions of the philosophy 3) 15 items of the 3 concepts towards excellence 4) 25 items of the 5 educational institute administration model.

           2) Regarding the analysis of the elements of the strategies to drive the sufficiency economy towards excellence in educational institutes, the result revealed that the model is consistent with the empirical literature ( , , , , , ) The weight of all 13 sub-components has positive value with the size ranging from 0.69 - 0.97. The weight of the main components of the strategies to manage education towards excellence in line with the sufficiency economy of the lower-northern of the country showed positive value with the size ranging from 0.89 - 0.91. When prioritize the components, the result yielded as follows: the 2 conditions, the 3 rings of sufficiency, the 3 concepts towards excellence, and the 5 educational institute administration model,  whereas the weight of the components were 0.988, 0.968, 0.964, and 0.873 respectively.

           3) In terms of the aim to present the strategies to drive the sufficiency economy towards excellence in educational institutes, the result was as follows:

                   Strategy 1 Raise awareness and build knowledge in order to initiate education administration towards excellence in line with the sufficiency economy courses providing for school directors, instructors, or practitioners.

                   Strategy 2 Create a network of engagement for people and the organizations associated with the education management in line with the sufficiency economy both in public and private sectors as well as ordinary citizen sector.

                   Strategy 3 Apply the Deming cycle into the education management in line with the sufficiency economy and assign the follow-up and supervision from original affiliations.
