Abstract


This paper study The Effects of Transportation Infrastructure Investment on
Thailand’s Foreign Direct Investment. Using secondary data by quarter from 2005 to 2017
total 52 quarters. Analyzed the multiple regression models by using the Ordinary Least
Square (OLS) method. The variables in the study are Gross domestic product, 

Unemployment rate, Wages, Inflation, Exchange rate, Interest rate, Communication
Infrastructure and Transportation Infrastructure, These are a variables of the Dunning's
Eclectic Theory, which is the most relevant theory of foreign direct investment
The study found that investment in transportation infrastructure did not correlate
with foreign direct investment. Investment in communication infrastructure (Commu) has a
direct relationship with foreign direct investment in the past two quarters. Gross Domestic
Product (GPD) is positively related to foreign direct investment. The rate of interest (Int) is
positively related to foreign direct investment. Other variables include unemployment rate
(Uem), Wages, inflation rate (Inf) and exchange rate (Exc) there are no correlations to foreign
direct investment.
